Mike Thatcher Mike Thatcher, Chief Executive Officer

Mike has been employed with CCCS since October 1983 working in the capacities of Assistant Director and Executive Director.  He has extensive experience in community correctional programming and a long tenure of experience in private sector corrections as well as treatment programs and delivering training in standards compliance.  During his 27+ years in corrections, he has received extensive training in correction management and supervisory courses and has a diverse background, having worked in both the state prison system and community-based correctional systems for adult offenders.  Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology, with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from Montana State University.

Steve McArthur is a native and lifelong resident of Butte.  He attended Montana Tech and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology, with an emphasis in Criminal Justice, from Montana State University.  Steve has been employed with CCCS since its the inception December 1983.  He enjoys the continuing challenge of participating in the ongoing operations and development of CCCS.  Steve is a member of the Montana Correctional Association, a member of the Montana Board of Crime Control and a member of the Butte-Silver Bow Fire Commission.  Steve also serves on the Board of Directors of the Port of Montana.



Colleen O'Leary, Director of Human Resources

Colleen has been the Director of Human Resources with CCCS since January 2002.  She was previously the Community Development Director for Butte-Silver Bow County.  Colleen also worked at Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge, Montana for nearly ten years where she was employed as the Information Systems Manager and later the Personnel Officer.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communications from Montana State University-Billings, formerly known as Eastern Montana College.  She is actively involved in the Butte Central Catholic School System, St. Ann’s Parish, and Main Street Uptown Butte where she serves as Secretary for the Board of Directors.

Dave Boyd, Director of Chemical Dependency Programs

Dave began his employment with Community, Counseling, and Correctional Services, Inc. (CCCS) in June 2001.  He previously worked as an officer in Adult Probation and Parole, an Addictions Counselor at the Montana Chemical Dependency Center, a Unit Manager at Pine Hills and an Adolescent Counselor at the Rivendell of Butte facility.  Dave holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Society and Technology with emphasis in Human Values from Montana Tech of the University of Montana in Butte, Montana.  He has also taken all of the necessary addictions studies from the University of Great Falls to allow his State Licensure. Dave was born and raised in Butte, and enjoys fixing up his new house and spending time with his family.

Ryan Lynch, Director of Development and Administration

Ryan came on board September 18, 2006.  A Butte native and a graduate of Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, Ryan has a myriad of requisite experiences stemming from his previous education and subsequent work at the local, national, and international levels.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business and Marketing.  He previously worked in Florence, Italy as a Student Life Program Coordinator and prior to that position, had worked in an Employee Recruitment position that required him to develop recruiting resources and engage in numerous networking activities in order to seek out qualified candidates for professional agencies in the western states. 

John Pat Bolton, Director of Corporate Facilities

John Pat (JP) Bolton began his CCCS employment as the Physical Plant Manager at RYO in November 2003, and then was promoted to the Director of Corporate Facilities in 2007.  Prior to that, he served as an Inmate Construction Supervisor and as a Maintenance Service Manager at the Montana State Prison in Deer Lodge, Montana.  JP has received extensive vocational training in machinery, welding, drafting, and carpentry.  He has over 30 years in construction project supervision, having been a union carpenter since 1972.  JP is involved in Big Brothers and Sisters, and has been honored as Big Brother of the Year in the past. 

Gina Tracy, Director of Nursing

Gina has been with CCCS since November 2003.  She was previously employed as a staff nurse at St. James Healthcare in Butte, Montana.  She was first a Licensed Practical Nurse and then an Associate Registered Nurse.  Gina received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the Montana Tech of the University of Montana in Butte. 

Craig Thomas, Special Projects/Marketing Coordinator

Craig joined CCCS on January 9, 2012 bringing with him  33 years of experience in the corrections field. He previously served as the Executive Director for the State Board of Pardons and Parole from 1991 until his retirement in April 2011. Craig earned his degree in Psychology from the University of Montana - Missoula. He currently serves as Chairman of the Butte-Solver Bow Law Enforcement Commission. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and is a self-described "golf fanatic."

Molina Puccinelli, Executive Assistant

Until her September 2008 promotion to Executive Assistant, Molina Puccinelli has worked as an Administrative Assistant in both the men's and women's Pre-release Centers since March 1998.  Prior to that, Molina worked as a Psychiatric Aid in both State Hospitals (at Galen and Warm Springs) and then with the State of Montana as an Admissions Tech at Montana State Prison.   Molina has had special training as a Nurse/Psychiatric Aide, as well as fire department training to become a member of the Warm Springs Volunteer Fire Department.  Additionally, she has had extensive training in various computer software programs. Molina was born and raised in Anaconda, Montana.

Perry Hawbaker, Chief Financial Officer

Before his October 2009 promotion to the position of CFO, Perry served as the CCCS Controller from January 2003.  He held various accounting positions in private industry for 19 years and prior to that was with a public accounting firm for two and a half years. Perry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an Accounting major from Montana State University-Billings, formerly known as Eastern Montana College.  Perry is a Certified Public Accountant and is a board member of the Butte Community Health Center.

Diana Trudnowski, Corporate Controller

Diana has been employed with CCCS since May 2004.  She is a Certified Public Accountant with experience in public, not-for-profit and governmental accounting.  Diana holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Montana State University - Bozeman.

Brandie Villa, General Ledger Accountant

Brandie joined CCCS on March 1, 2008.  She previously worked as an auditor and as a customer service representative.  Brandie holds a Bachelor's in Business and a Master's in Accounting from Montana State University - Bozeman.  She is a Certified Public Accountant.

Kim Hanson, Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

Kim began her employment with CCCS in May 2001 as a Resident Assistant.  She was then promoted to an Administrative Assistant until WATCh opened in January 2002, when she was promoted to Accounting Technician at WATCh.  Kim has earned her Associate’s through Western International University and a Bachelor’s in Accounting through the University of Phoenix.  She was previously employed as a Payroll Technician at the Montana State Prison for 4 years.

Jeff Petritz, Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

Jeff began his employment with CCCS in September 2003 and worked as a RYO Juvenile Correctional Officer for seven months.  Prior to coming on board, he worked for Touch America in the Accounting Department for nine years.  Jeff earned a Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting from the University of Montana - Missoula. He has had special juvenile training in dealing with youthful offenders at the RYO facility.

Heather McLaughlin, Accounting Technician

Heather was hired on December 1, 2005.  Prior to coming on board for the START program, she worked for the State of Montana as a legal secretary/hearings assistant with the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation Water Rights Bureau.  Heather earned a Bachelor of Science in Management and Information Technology from Montana Tech of the University of Montana, where she also taught Microsoft Excel and Access.

Vicki Sandford, Accounting Technician

Vicki joined CCCS in January 2009. She previously worked at the Montana Tech Foundation as an Accounting Associate for the last 10 years. Vicki earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Management from the University of Montana - Missoula.

Scott Mansanti, Transportation Supervisor

Scott began his employment with CCCS in August 2005 as a RYO Juvenile Correctional Officer and then, in December 2005, joined the CCCS Transportation Team. He was promoted on September 17, 2007, to his current position as the Transportation Supervisor based out of the Vehicle Maintenance Building.  He is responsible for the direct oversight and overall direction of the CCCS Transportation Officers.  Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the Montana Tech of the University of Montana in Butte, Montana. 

Pat Prendergast, Human Resources Specialist

Prior to his promotion to Human Resources Specialist, Pat was originally hired on August 24, 2007 as a Case Manager at the WATCh Program in Warm Springs .  He has a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with an Emphasis in Secondary Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.  He has a Master of Science degree in Health and Physical Education with an Emphasis in Sports Science from the University of Montana.  Pat also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Carroll College in Helena.  He is a member of the Butte Cares Board.

Rich Skuletich, Human Resources Specialist

Hired in August 2006, Rich brought with him 27-years of experience in the education field as both a teacher and school administrator. Before his promotion to Human Resources Specialist in December 2009, he worked as a Case Manager at the WATCh Program in Warm Springs for nearly four years.  He earned Bachelor of Science Degrees in Elementary Education and Secondary Education from the University of Montana Western in Dillon, Montana; a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona; and Administrative Certification from Northern Arizona University.

Tyler Fries, Community Coordinator

Tyler began his employment with CCCS in 2011 as a Client Technician for the Connections Corrections Program in Butte. He has served as the Athletics Projects Manager for Montana Tech of the University of Montana - Butte since 2011. He has also played professional baseball as a relief pitcher in Corpus Christi, TX and pitched in the United League of Baseball. In addition, Tyler worked at the Carolina Baseball Center in Charlotte, NC, as the Scheduling and Media Relations Co-ordinator and a Golf Ranger at the Wapicada Golf Course in Sauk Rapids, MN for two years. Tyler earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, where he served as a member of the Sports Management Association and volunteered in the community giving baseball clinics.

Michelle Harrington, Program Coordinator

Michelle came on board on February 14, 2012 to work as the Program Coordinator of the Anaconda Community Intervention Program mentioned above. She is responsible for coordinating established project plans in support of ACI's organization mission and grant-related goals.  She brings with her over 10-years of experience, having previously worked at Mercury Street Medical as the Certified Clinical Research Coordinator; prior to that, she was employed at Big Sky Clinical Research as a Clinical Research Coordinator and at St James Healthcare as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant; all located in Butte, MT.  Michelle earned an Associates in Biology General Health and a Bachelors of Science in Biology both from the Montana Tech of the University of Montana - Butte.  She also holds an Associates of Surgical Technology and is currently pursuing a Maters of Education and Biology, both from the University of Montana - Missoula.

Chad Snyder, Network Information Administrator

Chad began working full-time on February 27, 2012 as CCCS' Network Information Administrator.  He previously was employed with Fleeting Gaming as an IT Technician. Chad brings with him tremendous knowledge having experience as an IT Technician with a strong background in in Computer Science. He has many years of hard- and soft-ware experience through both education and employment. Chad attended Montana Tech and has specialized training in management. Chad has also worked at the Butte School District as an Adult Education Teacher, providing instruction on software and computer use. He is a Butte native who enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and son.

Kody West, Network Information Specialist

Kody joined CCCS on February 28, 2012 as a half-time Network Information Specialist. He previously was employed as a Network Administrator/Technician for Energy Systems in Dickinson, North Dakota. Kody is also the current Owner/Systems Administrator/Technician for West Tech LLC and provides IT consulting services for a number of local businesses. He attended Dickinson State University in Dickinson, North Dakota for several years while he pursued a Computer Science Degree. Kody brings with him years of experience working as a free-lance programmer and developing and repairing software for clients across the U.S., as well as in several countries.

Selina Pankovich, Information Specialist

Selina joined CCCS in May 2008 and works as a Database Application Developer and Administrator. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Care Informatics with academic honors from the Montana Tech of the University of Montana in Butte, Montana. Prior to getting her degree, Selina worked in the banking industry for 5 years.

Valori Mourich, Information Specialist/Webmaster

Valori began working as CCCS' Webmaster in December 2004. She worked for 20 years with a nonprofit organization where she assisted in the design, development and operation of four different national clearinghouses for federal agencies.  Prior to that, she worked for 6 years as a Consumer Service Representative for an electric and gas utility.  Valori has been involved for more than two decades delivering oral and written communications in attractively packaged formats suitable for both Internet and printed media. She holds a Bachelor's in Communications with academic honors from the University of Montana - Missoula.
